Tube Draw

Tube Draw is an experiment in adapting an obsolete industrial glass-forming technique to the modern glass studio. This removal of the tube draw process from the factory also removes the demands of purpose from its end result, allowing the artist to foster imperfection, aberration and variance - the subversion of a technical process to serve the open ended questioning of art.

2012 - THE TOLEDO WORKSHOP REVISITED

in 2012, the Glass Pavilion at the Toledo Museum of Art staged an event in celebration of the 50 year anniversary of the 1962 Littleton / Labino workshop that kicked off the American studio glass movement. Mine was among the winning proposals to rebuild and re-purpose a replica workshop furnace.
